In May 2026, Hunny is poised to become the first Black woman and openly LGBTQ+ member of Rosenberg City Council — reflecting the true diversity of our city and bringing a community-first approach to local leadership.
Rosenberg is a rapidly growing community with a population of approximately 43,882 as of 2025. The city is characterized by its rich diversity, with a racial composition that includes 37.19% White, 13.06% Black or African American, 9.71% Asian, and 15.16% identifying as other races or multiracial. Additionally, 56% of the population identifies as Hispanic or Latino, highlighting the city's multicultural fabric. [source]
